Giles is a general neurologist with interest in headache, MS, botulinum toxin, medicolegal work. He audits his practice with a database of all patients since 1994, currently over 31,000 cases of whom a third have had headache. He has recorded a doubling of imaging for headache over 25 years, and that among referral for MS, a little over half have MS with the commonest mimics being functional neurological disease, and migraine. He aims for economy of practice and has enjoyed locum work addressing waiting lists.
