Diarmaid is an Advanced Musculoskeletal practitioner and non-medical prescriber, with a degree in Physiology and Biochemistry from Cardiff University and trained as a Physiotherapist at Leeds University.
He is the chair of the National back pain and Radicular pathway clinical network and is a Versus Arthritis MSK Champion. He is the non-medical member of the Primary Care Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Medicine Society committee. He has a special interest in back pain and pain management using a biopsychosocial approach. He has presented on these subjects regionally and internationally including recent BASEM, BOA and BRIT Spine conferences.
