Sasha has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and is a RYT500 hour qualified teacher. As well as teaching regular clients and classes she has become increasingly interested in therapeutic yoga, bringing movement, breathing and mindfulness to those who may not necessarily have access to it, but who can benefit from it the most. She has a special interest in teaching yoga to refugees and victims of torture, and to students with PTSD, or burns injuries.
The exponential rise in popularity of yoga in recent years has led to a growing evidence base in support of its many benefits, even over other forms of exercise. This reinforces what yogis have believed all along… that the practices of yoga are beneficial to everyone, whatever issues they are working with! Whether you are a patient who can use yoga to improve your physical and mental health, manage pain or medical conditions, and change your lifestyle for the better, or a doctor who uses yoga to help manage your stress and energy levels and bring the best of yourself to your practice, there is something for everyone.
