Dr Sarah Hallett (@DrSarahHal) is Deputy Chair of the BMA UK Junior Doctors’ Committee. As Chair of the Education and Training subcommittee, she leads the JDC’s work on all things related to postgraduate training. This includes both internal and external projects, ranging from work to improve the flexibility of postgraduate training to undertaking nationwide surveys of junior doctors on their career choices. 

She represents junior doctors to external organisations, including the Conference of Postgraduate Medical Deans (COPMeD), the Medical and Dental Recruitment and Selection (MDRS) Programme Board, and the GMC Education Advisory Forum.

Sarah is a paediatric trainee in London, and graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013 with BMedSci (Hons) BMBS. She has interests in neonatology and the social determinants of health. She sings in an all-female acapella choir, the Electric Belles, and has performed in venues ranging from the O2 Arena to Union Chapel.
